From Captivity to Courage: Amera Ali's Voice for the Missing Yazidis

Amera Ali is a survivor, an advocate, and a voice for the thousands of Yazidi women and children still missing since the ISIS genocide of August 2014. Her journey from captivity to becoming one of Australia's most prominent Yazidi advocates is a story of extraordinary courage.

Through The Yazidi House in Australia Inc, Amera continues to speak on behalf of those who cannot yet speak for themselves — amplifying the voices of the missing and holding the world accountable for their fate.

Her story reminds us that remembrance is not passive — it is an act of resistance. And that every Yazidi voice deserves to be heard.
