Saif Matto, a young Yazidi survivor from the devastated village of Kocho in Sinjar, has transformed unimaginable suffering into a story of resilience, achievement, and hope.

As a child, Saif survived the 2014 Yazidi genocide and the atrocities committed by داعش (ISIS). Once a kidnapped child stripped of his freedom, he has grown into a determined young man committed to education and justice. Today, he continues to raise awareness about the crimes committed against the Yazidi people and advocates for answers regarding the fate of missing Yazidi children.
